There are many New Zealanders returning home to live at the moment. Traditionally, young Kiwis go overseas to live and work for a few years and this is called an OE (overseas experience). Some return home after a year or two and others stay away for longer, sometimes for good. Many go to Australia and the United Kingdom. If they marry an Australian or a British person, they probably decide to live in that country.
Even older New Zealanders have been attracted to Australia over the years because the wages can be higher there and it is not too distant or different from New Zealand. Now it looks like those people are returning home. Reasons for this could be that they have lost their job due to the recession and want to be closer to family during such tough times. Unemployment is still quite low in New Zealand at 5%. In places like United Kingdom, United States and Australia, the unemployment rates are higher so it is harder to get a job. Houses are also more affordable at the moment so it can be a good time to buy a house here.

i think that that its very good and bad at the same time because is good that they have their experience but its bad because its better that they stay where they born and have their family and all that because other way new zeland will be alone.
I think is good that people leave for a while and start to experience other places to live and decide whats better for them. Any change brings something new.
New Zealanders’ situations are like Mexicans’ situation. They went to another more commercial country to work, but now, whit the economical recession, these people should return to their homes. It is good for the relatives of the workers because both can be together, so, they enjoy that time. In New Zeeland it is a good time to buy a house.
Opinion:
I think is importat to the families of new zeland and many other parts of the world to have a job, if they do not find it on their country they can go and look for it in other place.
With the actual recession people is returning to their countries, is the same situation that is living Mexico because of the United States recession.
But the most important is to give jobs to the people in poor places.
The narrator does a lot of pauses, talks different and really slowly.
I think that it´s a good thing that New Zealanders are returning home. It’s to bad that the reason of it´s returning is unemployment stuff like that.
I think it’s great that Kiwis are coming home to the nest. We need lots skilled people to help build the place to be a fab international and exciting hub down-under.
