On the evening of November 5th, we celebrate Guy Fawkes by enjoying fireworks. Guy Fawkes was not a New Zealander and the Parliament he tried to destroy was in London, not New Zealand, so why do we celebrate this occasion? Maybe because it is part of our British heritage or because we do not have another occasion to celebrate with fireworks. Some countries have fireworks on New Year’s Eve, some countries like USA, celebrate their independence day with fireworks.
Does your country celebrate a special occasion with fireworks?
