Rugby quarter-finals

Now all the pool games have finished in the Rugby World Cup. It is time for the quarter-finals. The winner of Pool A plays the second place in Pool B while the winner of Pool B plays the second in Pool A. The same happens with Pool C and D. So these are the teams for this coming weekend: New Zealand plays Argentina, England plays France, Australia plays South Africa and Ireland plays Wales.

Perhaps the big surprise is Australia against South Africa. Most people expected Australia to beat Ireland but in fact Ireland won 15 to 6. So now Ireland not Australia will play against Wales. So in rugby, just like other sports, surprises can happen.

After the quarter-finals, come the semi-finals the following weekend, then the final on October 23rd.
